Senior Lunch Ministry

Our Senior Lunch was initiated in August 2007. It grew out of a desire to serve our senior neighbors; it has developed into a wonderful time of sharing and fellowship! The fantastic group of disciples who staff the kitchen and decorate the dining room have served delicious meals and helped all to feel welcome. The lunch takes place on the day of the Food for Life distribution, and many of our disciples work in both settings. Along with the delicious food, we also try to provide a nugget of information about a program or assistance that is available through county or state agencies or other ministry programs. A pleasant surprise has been that many of our senior guests have joined us in ministry!
